Akihabara Vaio UX50 Video Preview
Akihabara News released today an HD preview video of the Vaio UX50.
I’m sure a lot will be commenting on the seemingly slow boot-up of the UX50. I would have appreciated it if the reviewer did the initial setup of Windows XP before hand and started filming the video after the fact since we will get a better idea of the the time it takes to boot up.
Also, the reviewer commented on the pre-installed software cluttering the start menu. I on the other hand appreciate all the ‘goodies’ pre-installed. I would rather uninstall software than install each one, one-by-one.
Lastly, he was so disappointed when Yahoo Messenger popped-up when actually, he went to the start menu and actually ran the program.
A torrent link to download the video is available after the jump.

In the video when he places it on the cradle, he actually exits the Start > Programs by clickin on Yahoo! Messenger. So its his fault, not Sony. Although I agree, I don’t want all that crap on the system. Thats the reason it takes so long to load. First thing to do when you get a system is to format it. But to make sure you have all the software beforehand such as the Sony Manager that he accessed from the button and other software that should have come with the Micro PC.

It was taking time to boot up since it was the first time Windows XP is being run. That is when XP is creating the cache and a lot of ssytem files. After he had first created the admin account, he should have shutdown, started the video, and boot back up.
