Vaio Freak, you said you had a hack for the machine model number check, Im fighting a windows XP install on a VGC-V2M (all media and HDD lost), all the downloads from sony site wont restore the machine back to a state with Vaio Entertainment,Vaio Zone etc.. I have a VGC-V2S restore disc but rejects the machine becuase of the model number.. can you give me more details on the hack..

for japanese VAIO drivers in US you need to go to the ftp site on sonystyle.com and download the image files from the european models.</description>
