[...] Over the passed two weeks or so, there has been some interesting activity regarding the UX UMPC over at SonyStyle.com. If you have been paying attention, you will have noticed that the UX280p and the VGN-UX280PK1 (UX280p+BT Keyboard bundle) are strangely absent from the site. If Sony runs out of stock from one of their products, they don’t often remove it from the site. The only thing that would happen is that it would be shipped later. However the fact that they have removed it completely from the site implies they may no longer offer it. “Why” you might ask? Well in addition to the removal of these two products from Sony’s website and the fact that just recently the UX380N and UX390N have dropped in price by about $40 leads one to think that Sony may be up to something. Now I’m not sure if its standard Sony protocol to incrementally lower prices of recent products as time goes on, that may very well be the case. However there is a chance that we could be looking at a newer UX, or possibly even a whole new model! Nothing has been announced yet, so don’t hold your breath, but hey at least we know prices are coming down, amirite? [...]

I have this keyboard with the 380, and it works great. The hardest part is getting used to not having numbers without using a function key.

Sony UX bundle...with a keyboard?...

I found this semi-amusing but of value to someone shopping for a Sony UX handheld. So many folks touted the UX as a much better ultra-mobile computer solution than the Origami spec'd devices because it has an integrated keyboard. I ask those folks: ho...
