I have a Model 02 on order, I ordered it a month ago. I called OQO today to find out if the 8-10 week timeframe was still in order, they said that the first units should ship next week. There is a major backorder on the Stronghold cases and the airline adapters, don't expect them for some time.

There is NO shortage, this is BS. There is a delay in delivery, simply because OQO didn't put the Model 02 on the market yet. Or to make it simple to understand: a product which isn't available yet, can't have a "shortage" in availability. ;-)

Good point actually I'm not 100% sure, but after checking other sites like Dynamism, and seeing that they also didn't have any available, I'm assuming they are working on getting more units.

Are you sure this is a shortage? I've seen comments about delays in shipping, etc., but I've not seen any comments from anyone who's actually got one (other than reviewers -- go figure). I'm wondering if any units at all are shipping.
