Hey Brian, Yes your right, the Sony UX does not come with Origami installed on it. This is because Windows Vista doesn't officially recognize it as a "UMPC", yes its a bit silly considering the UX is one of the best UMPC's on the market. The reason(s) that it is not seen by Windows as a UMPC is because Microsoft layed out some standard specs for a device to be considered a UMPC. Most are shape and size requirements off the top of my head, I think MS says a UMPC is a mobile device running XP or Vista with a 7" display at 800 x 600 resolution. Whereas the UX's is actually smaller (4.5" I believe) and its screen resoltuoin better (1024 x 600). In order to install the Origami experience pack your device must be considered a UMPC, and as I said, the UX actually is not. However it is possible to install Origami on the UX, there is a non-check version of the install which skips the UMPC check and allows you to install Origami, this was provided by one of the members of our forum, and should be availible for download. Alternatively you could follow the guide on this post. Hope this helps!

Hey, I'm planning to purchase a Sony Vaio UX390N (or as we folks in Europe like to refer to it, the Sony Vaio UX1XN)..

I just like to confirm that there actually is no Origami on the UMPC? Instead we have to follow the guide to do so, and that it works right? (I'm a little hesitant on the fact that you said "the bottom line is it works", sounds as if comprimises have to be made..)
