UX380N Gone Missing from SonyStyle.com

Anyone who has been paying attention to the UX section of SonyStyle.com will have noticed that the UX380N has recently disappeared from the website. The UX380N isn’t even a year old, and yet its been pulled from the site with only the UX390N remaining, still priced at $2,349. Is the removal of the 380 a sign that a new model will be coming soon? We can only hope. Sony has been so quiet concerning a new UX model that at this point its anyones guess.

I had a feeling this was about to happen. Last week at Best Buy, the price on the shelf was dropped to $1600. I couldn’t pass it up so I finally took the plunge but I knew there was something up. They had five in stock and were getting rid of them for what ever is coming….

So far, this has been just a terrific experience!

Congratulations on your new purchase, I ad the same thing happen when I purchased my UX180 almost a year ago, about 2 months after, the 280 came out! But don’t worry, your new toy is top of the line when it comes to UMPC’s, and likely won’t be trumped likely until a new UX is released. Be sure to join us on the forums : )

Hmm…looks like the standard routine for Sony concerning the UX. When I bought my 180 in August, the same thing happened and the 280 appeared. I’ve definitely learned my lesson. Would be nice if they updated the keyboard in next release.

Hong Kong always gets old gen product. Our UX27(0) is gone. And UX38(0) and UX37 are now available. UX37 with better spec is offering US$120 lower…

Best Buy also has the Sony Vaio VGN-TXN25N/B ultraportable for $1599 brand new. That’s a hell of a deal. I suppose they’re making room for the newer ultraportable line I read about somewhere else.

The UX380 is back on SonyStyle right now. The price is $1849.99.

I just got a UX380 online for $1,179.00. I was holding out for the Fujitus U810 whihc is due out on September 18th. But the Sony just looks soo sweet and it looks very professional. I heard all the bad news about the keyboard but I think it will be fine.

I like the site lots of good information.

Best Buy is selling all thier brand new surplus UX380N recently on their best_buy outlet virtual store on EBAY The successful bids have been between 700 and $1000.
Got mine for $750.

Just biught the UX380N, on clearance, from BB. I am interested in “upgrading” to WinXP. Will I be successful in getting ALL the drivers? Where can I get them?

Dauda, there is lots of help to be found for downgrading to XP in the forums, just use the search function : )
