Eden, Via’s one-watt CPU

I appears as though Via has gone official with plans to release its one-watt ULV processor dubbed “Eden”. Via claims that Eden is “the Worlds Most Power Efficient x86 CPU” with its 0.1 watt idle power consumption, and 1 watt active. The CPU is produced using 90nm technology and should be appearing in mobile devices rather soon. The 500MHz nature of this chip means that we probably won’t see it in any full fledged UMPCs, but very likely it will turn up in some forthcoming MIDs running a special mobile version of Linux. Please someone explain how people can live running Vista on their Q1U with an 800MHz CPU!
