New UX92 available from Dynamism

It looks as though the new UX92 is now available from Dynamism. The UX92 is the Japanese version of the upcoming UX490N, which features a new Core 2 Solo CPU, as well as 48GB and 64GB SSD options. Dynamism is offering the UX92 in a variety of configurations and colors. You have the option of a 64GB SSD equipped unit in blue or black for $3199, a 100GB HDD (probably custom installed by Dynamism) version in silver for $2599, or a 40GB HDD version also in silver for $2199. Each of the configurations includes the new Core 2 Solo U2200 at 1.2GHz. All of the configurations are the Japanese variations of product, which means a compact flash slot in place of the EDGE modem that is included in US models.     64GB SSD or 100GB HDD - OMG!!!! Go Dynamism!!!!

    Aussie, just to clarify, the 100GB option is the only custom thing done by Dynamism for this UX. Even if you were to purchase it elsewhere, you’d still have 48GB and 64GB flash options.

    I really feel sorry for all the suckers that buy from Dynamism.

    The new UX92S with 64gb SSD is 279,800 yen. That’s just about $2400.

    I’d sure pay $800 to have an english OS installed.

    I had lots of hesitation in buying my new UX92 SSD and because of this site I went right in and got myself one… Was quite shocked about prices until I discovered my UX92 SSD at geekstuff4u for $2358. Got it pre-ordered and received it just yesterday…to be continued…

    I’m going to have to call BS on this one.

    1. GeekStuff4u does not get their stock until October 29th.

    2. Their starting model at $2,366.48 not $2358.00 is Core2Solo @ 1.06GHz not 1.2Ghz, with their Linux Pack not Windows XP and the linux is not installed or configured, and with 32GB SSZD not 64GB and pre S&H.

    3. Spec’d as @ Dynamism… GeekStuff4U’s pre-shipping price is $3,143.48 with Vista Home Premium.

    Cornhole…

    Think about the costs involved in importing a yet to be release in the US computer and getting all of the drivers correctly working with the English OS. Of course you are going to have to pay a premium if you want something like the UX92, especially right after it has been released.

    I was also surprised to get my UX92 SSD early but they told me by mail that I was one of the first to pre-order it.. So I got and now I have the Best Smile on my face.

    Half of my family is Japanese and lives in Tokyo.

    I am quite familiar with the costs of importing electronics from Japan to the US. This is exactly why I warn of paying such high prices.

    I understand the need for a margin to keep a business running. Dynamism and their ilk make HUGE profits off of people who love gadgets. It’s rather disgusting.

    Installing a different language OS and correctly configuring the drivers (paticularly with Sony) can be very difficult. However, it only needs to be done one time to create a functioning image.

    Hey BENZ １４５:　THANKS! for your prompt reply..Yes, I’ve tried in my last comment about my purchase of my new UX92 SSD I think, maybe three pictures.. Would apreciate your help in doing so.. peace man :)
