Video of the redesigned Wibrain UMPC
Jkkmobile has dug up a video featuring the redesigned Wibrain B1 UMPC that we heard about a few months back. The 1.2lb UMPC is currently listed as having a 1.2GHz VIA C7M CPU, 512MB or 1GB of RAM, Bluetooth, WLAN, and a 1024 x 600 touchscreen. There are several other options as well including your choice of a 30GB or 60GB HDD, and a 4 or 6 cell battery. Advanced connectivity options include EDGE, HSDPA, or Mobile Wimax. I agree, its quite blocky.
why are all the umpc’s making such crazy form factors? They should just use the technology to make a retro-version of the old handhelds. That way we would have a jacket pocket laptop that has easy to input touch type keyboards like the Psion and Jornada’s had.
