In fact, the exterior design has changed from the model 01. The model 01 and the model 02 do not have the same dimension and are made of different materials. Also, the model 02 keyboard is quite different from the model 01 keyboard. (The model 01 keyboard was flatter and got horrible reviews. The model 02 keyboard has rectangular buttons and has reviewed quite well.)

As for the price, I agree. The OQO is about as expensive as the Sony UX while being somewhat smaller, but less computationally powerful.

They really need to have a competitive price range. Who is spending over $3100 for a umpc? Maybe a few rich die hard fans.

Seems like the design is unchanged on the exterior from the model 01. The need a new exterior design with a better keyboard.

Good technically but after so many years I was hoping for a new design with an improved keyboard.

I still wished that OQO added an additional model that is longer, had a good touch type keyboard that would fit into a jacket pocket. As 2008 will have a new wave of 4-5" devices I think what is really needed is a true touch type version both for the market in general and for OQO to stay competitive.

I agree, I think Sony could come up with something great if they took the UX more seriously.

The OQO 02 is a very nice looking machine and the 64GB SSD and outdoor screen makes it even more attractive. My only beef with the 02 is the under-powered processor and graphics sub-system. OQO does a good job of tweaking Vista so it will actually run on the 02, but it doesn't have the chops to handle much else. It's too bad we haven't yet seen something that looks as good as the 02 and runs as well as the UX.
