Although the UX has these two cameras, it doesn't have a standard 42 mm screw hole on the bottom that all digital cameras and video cameras have, so if you want to use the UX with a table top tripod you are kind of out of luck. Or so I thought. These three picks so a setup I made combining 2 tripods and connected them with a one inch coupler. I used a Vidpro DT-1 table top tripod on the bottom as the real tripod. I then attached a Gorillapod Joby GP1-0 upside down to the DT-1 and used the Gorillapod as a clamp. I will admit it isn't the prettiest setup, but it is functional. If you have a better idea, or a better looking setup, please share it in this thread.

Because it shakes? Or maybe I am not getting you? As to why I'd want to record, actually I wanted to record some videos and put them up on youtube. I made some test videos and the video part was great. However I had no audio. I assumed the UX had a built in mic? I guess it doesn't? So I plugged in an external mic I got from radio shack but that doesn't seem to work either. I have volume ON (not muted) and I can hear music tracks fine. It seems like it isn't recording audio. I will make a new thread asking about this.
