I never got a chance to test the ByteMobile Acceleration on the original build (if the older Cingular Communciation Manager even had it as an integrated feature), but with my rebuild with the latest from Cingular's website, it remains OFF no matter what I do.
It gets to "negotiating," but then it just says "Acceleration off." Anyone have any ideas on how to work it? I'd rather not spend the $50 a year for OnSpeed (or can anyone else tell me a viable alternative to speeding up the EDGE connection for browsing, besides using www.skweezer.net and other websites?).
