I need another computer like I need a hole in my head, but regardless, I have been tucking away my spare change waiting for the release of this one. Any comments ?? Feel free to talk me out of buying this. Diane

I'm one of those purists who can't think of why I would ever want a MID. I'd rather pay a little more and get a full UMPC...the Gigabyte M704 looks nice:)

With that size I think your better off getting a OQO E2. Its the same size, better spec's and be able to install anything you wish on it.

The link below has a hands-on with a beta M528, a comparison between the OQO and the M528, and other useful information. The M528 may be similar or a bit better in several respects for much less, even after adding an 8 or 16 GB micro SD. Better battery life for the M528, I would expect. For MS Office or similar, OQO makes sense. If Linux apps are okay, then the M528 could be very nice. There should be reviews of the very similar Aigo MID soon.
