Not really accessories, but not sure where else to put this. After modding my dock, I've put together this, inspired by Meansquares.
A High-Cap external battery is on its way, which will fit under the mouse and wires. It has a phone charger and a/v cable with it. When my High-Gain usb wifi stick arrived and its supersized antenna I plan to plot my local wifi spots with the (hopefully) Built-in GPS in place of the WWAN module. Fingers crossed. I can't help but do these things... I need help ![]() Edit: Its not visible from the photos, but the dock and the keyboard both have the foam cut out underneath them. The bit from the keyboard ends up on top of the UX

Wow pyro, you are on a distinguished path to becoming a UX modding pro! It all looks great, be sure to let us know when the battery arrives and how it performs. I was really confused when I saw the initial shot of the dock, wow, how did you manage to do that?
Just saw that you linked to the wiki about your dock, thats my next stop : P

Very cool. So you "folded" your dock to put the ports in front rather than in back. I like it... very much.
I've been thinking about doing something like this myself. On my last trip I noticed that I really didn't need the external monitor. Something like this would allow me to fit all my stuff into a much smaller package. Another, very simple mod I'm thinking over is to put a "tackle box" type container in the lid, which can hold all the USB cables and other miscellaneous ort that I carry around with the UX. A final mod would be to put in a DVD burner, but I'm trying to work out how to put it in in such a way that it will "pop up" to make the drive door accessible.

Don't you feel that once you put it in a case with all the gadgets and accessories that it simply now becomes another laptop as far as portability goes ?
I mean it's still the UX but if you are going to carry it around like that, why not just carry a small or even mid-size notebook ? |

Not really, I only plan to carry it around like that for things like trips. For everyday use I still keep in its soft case, in a coat pocket. The case was mainly designed for plotting the hotspots near me, just havent chucked in the battery or HI-gain yet
![]() Edit: Also done because, come on, its an aluminum briefcase ![]()
