Also, if you check in the supplied accessories list you'll see a detachable stand is included.

Which also involves the CPU since it's embedded on the same board which calculates into: mucho dinero! Especially if Sony's behind the pricing scheme.

is it worth to sell the UX180P and buy this UX280P? It will definitely be more than $200 difference by selling the UX180P at a loss.

So why does the US customers get 1GB and the Japanese only 512MB (and the Europeans get nothing)? Who is making such a strange marketing?

Japanese will get the 1 GB RAM too, it is just a matter of time.
Europeans are supposed to get a UX with UMTS capability, 60 GB HDD and 1 GB RAM by next spring. This is a rumor I just caught up from a friend who has been at the IAA expo. If true, this is EXACTLY what I expected from Sony and I would buy this thing the first time it shows up, even pre-order it. No word if the UMTS feature will carry HSDPA too but I suppose it wouldn't make much sense without it.

Another rumor: the TX series seems to get a Core 2 Duo upgrade, maybe a Nvidia GeForce Go 7300 or 7400 graphics adapter too and of course...UMTS.
Same thing here, probably by next spring in Europe and very likely somewhere else too.

Don't nail me on these rumors but they come from a good source at the IAA in Germany.
