UX490 with E169, 128GB SSD, U7700, Windows 7/Vista/XP and MAC OS X

I just finished this UX490N for darkerx.
To fit E169 perfectly, I cut a piece of heatsink to create a space for it.
Then I also have to trim E169, remove antenna.
Unused cable is USB, but VCC is only 3.3v so I get another 5v source to feed E169.
USB Data is used from unused cable which taped on SSD/HDD.
Built-in USB port is FREE to use.
The UX is quad boot among MAC OS X Leopard 10.5.7, Windows 7 Ultimate, Vista Business, and Windows XP Pro

Why do you have 3 Windows on your UX, Anh?

For me, I don't.
I did this for darkerx here. There may be some software require specific Windows that he needs to run on.

this has to be the best UX I have ever seen.. Very delicate work Anh, I remember myself trying to solder on that flat cable and finally giving up and using a ZIF socket So what did you do for the antenna? I soldered a naked wire for the antenna and got slight improvement.

I use its antenna that wraped around the plastic cap.
However, I haven't test the it yet because I have to put a working SIM in.
I am not sure if this E169 is already unlocked.

But I remember seeing the outer case, it was vodafone k3520 right? k3520s are not locked afaik.

Well guys, this 490 (bought brand new for this purpose), was intended to be the masterpiece of this forum... it's a masterpiece, made by the most bright guy I have ever been in touch with: Anh...

This thing was intended to gather/use most of the knowledge brought here by the forum members:
-CPU upgrade=>most little core2duo in the world... brought here by Anh
-128gbssd (fast...)=>highest storage capacity for this size, SSDs have been discussed a lot here...
-3,5g+voice=>the features of the k3520/e169 were found be a member... making a UX able to be used as a very high end cellphone possible...
-W7=> fully working/adapted, drivers issues worked out by members
-MacosX=> works because of all the time consumed by forum's members to find the tricks to do it...

Then, you have:
-The best UX/higher speced ever made... far beyond Sony's design
-The best Macbook ever made, with a Tablet flavour... Apple have made nothing, that can be compared to it... (iphone features, with a full macosx...)
-The fastest netbook in the world...
-The most little laptop in the world...
-In short, a unique device, better than anything made by any company... made by ONE guy (Anh)... with the support of the members of this forum...

Who should have think it was possible in the 21st century? A lone guy making a device blasting those done by all the major companies...
We are not living in the time when Jobs and Woz were making the first Apple... the market is mature now, so this shouldn't have happened!

Except that... the passion of some... and the talent of one (Anh) can make it happen...

I'm very proud to be part of this forum, folks... and it's a privilege to have had my UXs touched/blessed by Anh....

I am blown away by Anh. Such a quiet spoken professional. he really does amaze me and does incredible work. i'll be sending him my 390n in a few weeks for him to do his magic. It really does amaze me that this man does what he does and apparently out of 7 billion or so ppl on the earth he is the only one who seems to do this at all. I think we are all blessed to have this man working on what we all love...ux's.

Because the SIM is hard to get and I don't have SIM already for Darkerx, so he has to open the case and almost completely his UX to place the SIM and the job is probably far difficult.
I got another idea to use a SIM slot push-type inplace of stock SIM slot and the work is done perfectly.
Darkerx now only need to remove SIM cover, put the SIM in when he gets back the UX.
