Re: Sony UX still alive 2018

Thats good to hear! UXes at work. although not so much for portable use. Never used Budgie before, it this a Linux Distro. When I click the link, it says it is discontinued. Yes, Manjaro32 is a Linux distro (with the Budgie Desktop in my case). And about the discontinuation of the 32 bit version of...

Re: Sony UX still alive 2018

Hi guys! I still have 2 of these VAIO UX as my daily drivers for the Media Center at my house. For that purpose it performs pretty good running https://manjaro32.org/ (Budgie desktop Edition). The only hack I have done is the 400mhz GMA graphic adaptor overclocking. I would have liked to mod it wit...

Re: Sony UX still alive 2018

Glad to see you guys still around here. It's almost 10 years from the first one I modded. Even though I don't do it anymore but just did another upgrade for one in CA. Hi Anh. My Anh UX is still going strong! It does have some moments when full throttling at 1.33Ghz, but apart from that it still ru...

Sony UX still alive 2018

Just wondering how many Sony UX users there are still, and if so how many still use it! My Anh Modified U7700 UX is still working! Still using the UX as my daily driver. It does seems to be getting a little slow for come web sites, but otherwise still a brilliant machine to run Ubuntu 12.04. What I ...

Do you prefer the pocket formfactor over the win?

Re: GPD Pocket?? Seems nice..

Wow, thanks for the reply. Interesting to hear the quirks you are having with the GpdWin. I guess the kinds of issues you are having are a common to first gen products. Hopefully GPW will fix these quirk for the Pocket! Although the UX can not be officially considered slow, it is still quite usable....

Re: Ockel Sirius A Pro Umpc

The design is somewhat interesting, but does have a nice design appeal. Best of all it is pocketable!

This indeed may be a good upgrade option for those with the outdated UX. :)

Re: GPD Pocket?? Seems nice..

Good to see you back into micropc forums! I would still prefer the GPDwin over this new GPD pocket as the Pockets 7 " display makes it prohibitive to be pocketable. Having a 7" display opens up other options like tablets, and other smaller formfactor laptops. It would be nice if would shar...

wow, MicroPc lives!

For those still using their Sony UX, this forum is a lifeline to keeping their UX's working.

Many thanks to whoever brought this forum back to life, and even better giving the forum a spruce up.

It will be good to know who actually still uses their Sony UX's and other microPCs of the day. :)
