ux-380 options

Postby xvtxboi508x » Sun Jun 21, 2015 02:48

Hey Guys I got a ux-380 and it's got a bad video card i believe. Sometimes it will boot up showing me everything normal. 98 percent of the time it isn't and shows my pixel vertical colored lines. I been remoting into this thing to try to fix it with no luck. Does anyone know whats wrong here? It's on windows 7 starter and none of the vista drivers are working. This was functioning with an external screen before i got it on the same Operating system.

It's too complicated for me to take apart without guidance. Anyone wanna help? or take this thing off my hands? got the accessories and two functioning extended batteries for it. Can show proof it still works besides the screen issue.

Let me know!

Hello & welcome to the forum. Not much activity here as not too many people still have UX. From the description of your problem, I'm 98% certain you have a bad LCD screen. The only fix for that is to replace the screen assembly- there's one on ebay here if you're interested in repairing your UX. There's a service manual for the UX here at post #48. If you are slow & careful you can work on your UX. You need a 000 size Phillips screwdriver & some sort of thin-flat tool to gently lift up the lock tabs on the flexcable connectors (these are Zero Insertion Force connections - ZIF - & can break if you use too much force).

for those that live outside of USA,

I bought from this seller before and was reliable.

If you are not confident on repairing the screen yourself, you can post it over and I can assist the installation.
