ah ok, just if you are finding linux hard to get into, setting up android will be the same. Once ubuntu linux is going on the ux, the usability is the same as windows in terms of technical know how, just a better faster ux ;)

sorry but i honestly realy hated ubuntu. it is extremely dependent on a good ssd and i dont have one besides my p and that has a gma500 wich doesnt run linux properly(althow 10.x i think has drivers now)

at least android is extreemly wide spread and use...unlike ubuntu which is why i shied away from it. and besides. i cant get halo for ubuntu lol

yer guess so, but with android wouldn't a multi touch tablet be more practical since the os is predominately touch based? Think UX are for those old school operators that just loves to have a physical keyboard and also the ability to run older operating systems ;) and IT people like me who uses it on site to diagnose networks, etc.

will have to try this android sometime on the ux once they get the drivers all sorted. Most importantly they will have to get the power management right, otherwise the ux will just sap up the juice real quick. Thats what I found with ubuntu before installing vaio power for it.

ooo not going too off topic just letting you know I am now too using a blue ux housing ;) and loving it. I think though the higher end ux sold here ie ux57 and ux37 were actually blue in colour too, hence the black ux is actually more rare.

oh what socket is an atom? is it a 479? cos i think it migh work in the ux.

iv been doing some searching thoue stuff and i noted that the ux has a 479 wich is the same as a 489 it just has an extra pin so it can handle more processors but they normally have 478 processors in them anyway.

alot of your mobile dule core computers have 478 sockets so i am wondering what elce is computable with our northbridge. puwerly for testing perposes (power and heat would be a problom) id like to see a 2ghz dule core or a pentium 4 mobile in this thing.

i am also wondering if an atom will work. i do know my acer has the same or symiler northbridge and has an atom. i want to put my old core solo from my ux into my p. i might have to add a fan ofcorce.

this is all very hypothetical but id love anh to put a pin socket on an old mobo to see what we can do.
