So we just wait for this Runcore bug to get worked out and then the 128Gb is a go.

I don't really need the 128Gb... I have gotten by just fine with the 48 for some time now. There is one good thing about only having 48Gb to work with... you become very careful about what you keep on the computer. The flip-side is that it is kind of a pain in the ass. 128Gb would be a welcome upgrade.

The G-Monster V4 (MLC) goes up to 256GB, trumping the RunCore.

However the G-Monster does have a nasty hibernation/suspend problem...

The G 4 Monster does have these nasty hibernation/ suspend problem only in vista and window 7. No problems in XP. I am sure there will be a fix to the windows 7 bug soon. But it damm nice to have all that hard drive space. And it hell a fast.

Hehehehe...cool. Sure you are planing putting 1Tb INSIDE the Ux...

Well, I was thinking on get 128gb, but I thought that never use that space carrying the UX, so while it is docked, could use an external hdd. So maybe I will move to only (but cheaper) 64Gb Runcore, to put dual boot Win7 MacOs, and i´ve just bought a 2.5¨ HDD 640Gb to mod and put inside dock. And I think that´s enough memory for me..

Lol, not quite, but if it works it'll be impressive as hell. Of course it may blow-up in my face horribly instead...

mmm...are you planning putting an uranium-based ssd or something you´ve invented? Hehehhe. I have a Lacie 500gb external HDD and can´t full it with my everyday use...can´t imagine what to do with double space...
Tell us your inventions/plannings, they´re always amazing!

Lol, I have about 4TB of storage space on my home network and I need to upgrade in the next month or so.

My UX will hopefully have 176GB of total internal storage after my plan is put into effect, but I won't know of it will work for a couple months yet.
It's not the most storage, but this mod is about quality, not quantity.

On separate note, I may have a working SATA-ZIF bridge prototype soon. It would allow people to use a 5mm SATA drive in the UX:D

Try storing DVD ISO images and see how far that 500GB gets you. I am planning on building a 6TB SATA RAID array sometime this year. I have a bunch of SATA drives in a JOBD configuration in my server right now. I am not really sure what the total storage space is on there but it is somewhere around 2TB and it is nearly full. I could have more space but I decided to eliminate all IDE drives from my systems, I'm SCSI and SATA only.

DVD ISO's are bad, but I only have about 750GB of those. Try having a HTPC-PVR. Lol, even with MPEG/Xvid compression I still have about 2TB of video.

I don't like JBOD personally. I'm a RAID 5/6 kind of guy. I've had a failed hard drive cost me data before, so now I don't take any chances.

I'm using RAID 5 on my home server right now with 4 1TB drives (for 3TB of storage). My HTPC is RAID 0 (3 250GB drives) but it's backed up to the main server daily.
Plus I have boot drives on all of my machines of course.

I want to switch to 3 320GB Raptors on the HTPC, and toss a couple more TB into the main array and move to RAID 6. That'll be a fun migration
I'll also need 3GB of working space for the migration, so I figure a couple 1.5TB drives should do it. After the migration is done I'll set the 1.5TB drives up as RAID 1 and keep them for overflow...
