I got my brand new UX280 from MacMall for $ 1049 just a couple days ago. Thats the same price ClearanceClub was selling its refurbished ones for.

I paid $1079 my NEW (not refurbished) UX280-P from Amazon through Electronica Direct .. they were great to deal with.

Just could not resist anymore, finally got the UX380 from Amazon couple days ago. Have not done much yet other than getting the new video driver and made a copy of the recovery disc.

Congrats on the purchase, however its unfortunate if you bought it just after the price hike that happened some time over the last 2 or so weeks.

I could have kicked myself on this one:

I went by a local Fry's Electronics to return a GPS. I stopped by the laptop section just to browse. They had:

Vaio UX380N: $899!
Vaio UX390N: $1499!

I had the salesman scour all three storage facilities and underneath the display counters. The computer showed that they had one UX390N in stock. I was more than prepared to pick it up for that price. Alas, they could not find it :(

At this time, all they had was a display UX280P for sale. If any of you have Fry's in the area, it'd be worth giving them a call of checking it out.
