Thanks for advise, but after I have instalated the first Win7, i try to use Gabe's win7 driver pack ver 1.2. After the instalation of one driver - I don't know, but I think VCC, the device send me a messaje - it doesn't recognise the battery, and it return to hibernate mode... The device works only without the battery, and the only solution for the normaly working of the device was to reinstal de operating system.

@ harry- don't bother responding to posts like #663. The link for a signature, small number of posts (almost all at once) & weird/ nonsensical language all point to a spammer.

If you're trying to get win7 drivers, the link I mentioned at the top of this page (post 661) for Gabe's UXBasicDrivers-1.2 still works. This pack can work on any model of UX.

UX XP driver packs

Postby Schmitty » Mon Dec 07, 2015 03:25

I haven't been on here for a super long time but just recently purchased a UX380N just like the one I sold probably 5 years ago (I completely regret selling it but needed money at the time). I have already done a fresh install of XP SP3 but I am having a hard time getting some functions working. Of course this is a really old thread and none of the links for sulls fantastic driver packs work anymore. Does anyone still have these drivers available?

I was able to get most things working by using the "model" switch method but have not been able to get the touch screen working properly or any of the special buttons (zoom, vaio launcher, camera)

Many thanks for any help
Jason

Driver packs

Postby Aibomick » Tue Dec 22, 2015 08:58

Hi,

I still have the driver packs - I could FTP them somewhere for you - but the bad news is they were both designed for XP SP2 - you may experience problems or failures if you have SP3 already loaded.

Let me know anyway..... I don't check here very often..... but I'll keep an eye out fir this thread.

I'm still using my trusty UX280P dual booting with Mac Snow Leopard - works really well!

Sony UX90S (x2) - Windows XP & 7
Mac Book Air 11" Mavericks

Nexus 7 Tablet (Android)
Samsung Slate 7 (Mavericks)

You can still get all of sony's XP drivers for the UX at their support site here. These are UX280 drivers so you can do the model.txt trick, or get a utility like Uniextract to "unpack" eack of sony's exe files. This will remove the model check feature & the actual installer exe will be in a subfolder.

You can use any of these drivers on XP sp2 or sp3. You have to install most of the special sony drivers & utilities in order to get all the UX hardware to work properly. There are lots of posts in this thread about just that issue.
