update. i doped my phone from a small hight and it got a few light scratches on the rim around the dock connector and one and a bit noticeable one on the back. all in all thew it still looks good. around c8 (if your a collector of anything you know what that means) nothing is wrong with it functionality. price is not $700 aus. thats a little bit more for usd. we are quite close at the moment.

blaster, i noticed(inferred from your posts) that you really like android. how about you buy a ux case from ebay and stuff it with DIY android kit :D. google liquidware or beagleboard

haha u mean just use a ux shell and transplant internals of an android device into the ux. Actually not a bad idea, and with the thickness of ux,, a substantial internal battery can be used!

the sony ux is not 4:3 though, think it is slightly widescreen if I am not wrong as 4:3 ratio would equate to something like 1024 x 768. The ux native res is 1024 x 600.

Mabe our new beta testers of android will get somewhere to finalizing a android os prototype for the ux. But as I am aware ux numbers are dwindling since its really a device from 2006, with a few spruce ups over the years. Even parts will become more scarce, that is why I am telling people to stock up on spare ux now, while they can be attained for reasonable prices. Been playing angry birds on my ubuntu ux in chromium, and it seems to work perfect, and no different from the iphone, or symbian versions found on mobile phones
