Hello! This is my post here :)
I just bought a second hand X505 and I'm hardly working on it to make it shine as new or better (now it's far from being "as new"). I'd like to know if the cpu upgrade is on the way since I found a cheap R200 mainboard and I'm about to buy it.

Work in progress. I'm about to make some really extreme modding on my beloved X505. Soon I'll post some pictures. My goal is to have WiFi, Bluetooth and some other toys integrated in the chassis without silly USB sticks or PCMCIA surfs popping out.
Of course I mounted a brand new 32gb SSD wich boosted the system (I was not hard to install XP without the iLink external optical drive, I just used WinToFlash making the SSD bootable to install XP from the hard disk itself).

Since X505 has really tight space inside and probably no populated unused usb line, so I doubt we can put something in there without giving up external usb ports.

Hi all. Just wanted to let you know that I received my X505 from Anh. I am currently moving in a new apartment and – regretfully – I do not have time (nor the necessary accessories, e.g. my DDRW3 is inside a box…) to install Win and let you know my impressions (my X came OS-free). However I must say this: Anh did a fantastic job. I almost cannot tell that my X505 was opened! Perfect job, Anh. You are a real pro! Thanks. I will update with my impressions on the upgraded X505 when I actually find some time and space to make some! :)

Hi bigs :) Yes, it now has the PM773 @ 1.33 and a 30GB SSD. We cannot upgrade RAM for the same reason we cannot do it in the UX. Not sure what Anh means "hard to find"
